Brit appoints Head of Outwards Reinsurance

Brit Ltd (“Brit”) announces the appointment of James Drew as Head of Outwards Reinsurance. In this role, effective 1 July 2019, James will be based in London and report to Christiern Dart, Group Chief Underwriting Officer. James will also work closely with Reinhard Seitz, currently Head of Outwards Reinsurance at Brit, who will be retiring from Brit towards the end of 2019.

James joins Brit, to oversee outward reinsurance purchasing and will be responsible for developing and expanding new and existing reinsurance relationships. He brings over two decades of experience in Lloyd’s and the London market to the role.

He was most recently Head of Reinsurance at Aviva. Prior to this, James held Head of Reinsurance roles at Insurance Australia Group and Torus Insurance (now Starstone). James started his career underwriting across specialty classes including Property Treaty and Marine.
