Overview

Building on our team’s solid track record in political and credit risk underwriting, we cover financial losses as a result of non-payment or performance of Insureds’ counterparties and, confiscation, expropriation, nationalisation, deprivation, sequestration or forced abandonment of fixed and mobile assets in foreign countries.

Our underwriters are integrally supported by a dedicated credit and country risk analysis team, further augmented by a broad external panel of forecasting and data providers.

We believe this combination ensures that we truly understand our clients’ risks and thus can effectively manage their needs and our portfolio within a constantly changing political and economic global environment.

our approach

quality service, detailed feedback

Brit’s Political and Credit Risk team prides itself on offering a quality service in timeliness, detailed feedback and claims servicing for the brokers and clients that we support. With a focus on creating a sustainable and diversified portfolio the team’s collegiate and innovative ethos has allowed it to lead, adapt and change with the market and our clients’ needs.

Our distribution

Given the intricacies of client’s risks and the potential complexities of coverage, we generally work with clients via the market’s specialist Political & Credit Risk Broking teams to ensure coverage is correctly tailored to the clients needs.

We are well practiced in working completely remotely with our brokers and clients and transact electronically via various market e-trading platforms.
