We're writing the future using tools such as AI and robotics to develop digital and data led services for our customers that keep them on the front foot, and should the worst happen, help them to recover quickly and with compassion.
Our Graduate programme
Do you want to make things happen?
Our Graduate Programme runs for two years from 28 September 2026. During that time you’ll have the opportunity to work in several different departments across a number of projects in your chosen function to broaden your experience, build relationships with colleagues and learn from our experts in the market.
You’ll network with other Graduates on the programme, receive support in attaining a professional qualification in your business area, and you’ll have a mentor to support you in achieving your personal development goals throughout.
During your first week you’ll follow an enhanced induction programme to help you create a great first impression and bring you up to speed with the basics of the insurance market.
After that, you’ll be working as part of a team, gaining valuable hands-on experience in your chosen career path.

To apply for one of our roles you'll need to complete the application listed below. You need only submit one form to apply for multiple roles.
Key dates
- 1st December 2025 - Graduate applications close
- January 2026 - selected candidates complete a psychometrics based assessment
- February 2026 - selected candidates attend an in-person assessment centre

"The Brit Graduate Scheme is an amazing opportunity for aspiring underwriters to gain exposure to the different classes of business within the London insurance market. Brit’s Underwriting Scheme provides a strong foundation for professional growth and development.
As a graduate, you will rotate through various underwriting teams to gain diverse experience, be paired with a dedicated mentor to support your professional journey and receive support for an ACII qualification.
The culture at Brit is inclusive, collaborative, and supportive. You will work closely with teams such as claims, actuarial, and exposure management, in an environment where asking questions, sharing ideas, and learning from experienced professionals is actively encouraged. I particularly enjoyed my rotation in Flood, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with teams across Brit and gain insight into the development of a digital Flood insurance platform. Another highlight has been representing the Brit netball team and competing in the Lloyd’s 7s tournament!"
