Brit Global Specialty USA appoints John King as Chief Underwriting Officer

Brit Ltd (“Brit”) is pleased to announce the appointment of John King as Chief Underwriting Officer for Brit Global Specialty USA (“BGSU”). John moves to BGSU from his current role as Group Executive Underwriter at Brit Global Specialty in London.

In his new role, John will be based in Chicago, and will report to Nick Davies, President, BGSU. He will continue to work closely with Brit’s Group Chief Underwriting Officer, Christiern Dart.

John brings over thirty years of experience to the role, including a range of senior underwriting positions. John joined Brit in 2009, initially as Short Tail Portfolio Director, before becoming Group Executive Underwriter.

Prior to joining Brit, John spent six years as a Production Underwriter at Beazley and played a key role in driving the build-out of its US platform. He started his career at Marsh, latterly holding the role of Senior Vice President and leading the US Property broking team in London.
