Douglas joined Brit in 2010 as Vice President of the newly established US Property Facultative reinsurance team. In 2013, Douglas became Senior Vice President, taking over the leadership of BGSU’s most prominent underwriting business, SIR Package. Under his leadership the SIR team achieved over 70% portfolio growth and has become one of the premier public entity products in the market.
Most recently Douglas was named Executive Vice President and Head of Casualty for BGSU and is a member of the BGSU executive management committee. Prior to joining Brit Douglas held underwriting positions with Catlin US and The Hartford.
