Work/life balance at Brit

At Brit, we believe in a healthy work-life balance. That’s why we operate hybrid working, to ensure our colleagues have the benefits of home working together with the enjoyment of face-to-face collaboration, and social activities.  For those of you joining our London office, it’s a great modern office space, full of light where everyone can enjoy the spectacular views of the amazing city of London sky scape.

Beyond office and home working

We have progressive policies to ensure we support our colleagues in a range of circumstances. These provide a framework to help our colleagues feel comfortable bringing their whole self to work at Brit.

Workplace Adjustments

We’re completely dedicated to giving you an inclusive place to work, where everyone can be their whole selves and maximise their potential. This includes supporting anyone who has a disability both nonvisible and visible or requires extra support.

Support for Carers

If you’ve got caring responsibilities, we’ll do everything we can to support you. This could be a short, temporary need, or a longer term one. We’ve created a policy to help our colleagues understand their options and feel confident sharing any challenges they have so we can help balance work and caring responsibilities.

Family Leave

We’ve made sure that our family leave benefits are equal no matter how your family is shaped.  We are very supportive of maternity, adoption and shared parental leave.

We also recognise that you may be unable to spend time bonding if you new-born is immediately hospitalised after birth. We can offer you the support you need to get through this difficult time.

Menopause, pregnancy, loss, and fertility

Our menopause, pregnancy, loss, and fertility policies are intended to provide support to you when you need it most, and to remove any stigmas or taboos about the topics.

We all understand that life presents all sorts of twists and turns, we want to support you, and for you to feel safe to talk about these things and how they affect you and your loved ones most importantly, we want you to feel confident to bring your whole self to work every day.

Transgender and Transitioning

We’re completely committed to the inclusion of transgender people. We want to create a safe, welcoming culture and environment where transgender people feel valued – treated with dignity and respect – and can express their gender identity freely. We’re committed to supporting you if you want to take, or have taken steps, to transition and have a different gender identity from your identity at birth. We won’t make any assumptions about how you may feel, or how you want to be treated. Instead, our aim is to outline the support that’s available, and give advice that may be useful, should you need it.

Domestic Abuse

We’re committed to supporting your health and wellbeing at work, especially when it comes to something as serious as domestic abuse. We’ve created a policy to highlight the support you can get, including special leave, and signpost places outside of work where colleagues can get advice and help. Employee safety and wellbeing is our priority.
