Brit’s Head of Engineering will work with the CTO to develop, lead, and implement the technical strategy
aligned to the vision and mission for Brit’s business and change objectives. The Head of Engineering is a leadership role, with responsibility for building and developing a team of multi-disciplined engineering talent. As a champion of the software engineering culture, the Head of Engineering has responsibility for development teams and development strategy across all of Brit’s platforms and products. As such, this individual will work across the entire organisation and engage with senior stakeholder, IT product owners, architecture and change to create strategies for technology at Brit.

This role will encompass a mix of hands-on technical leadership, agile (scrum) management, strategy
and ops model development, and stakeholder relations.

The key focus of this role includes:

  • Leadership and accountability for all development through all delivery methodologies.
  • Setting and managing to development standards across the IT department
  • Developing a high-performance culture within Brit Engineering team
  • Management of development and the development environments.
  • Ownership of the engineering support and small change/minor enhancement, including testing
  • Oversight and accountability for platform monitoring and issue management
