Our office in Tokyo is a representative office for Brit Insurance. It opened on 1 July 2009 and acts as a vital support to Brit Insurance’s London underwriting operations, supporting the Group’s current reinsurance activities in the Japanese market and assisting teams expanding opportunities in facultative markets.
Masaru Ito has a wealth of experience in the Japanese insurance and reinsurance industry and joined Brit Insurance after a decade at Hannover Re Services Japan, where he was a Senior Manager, with a focus on developing business opportunities. During his career, he has also worked for Zurich, American Re and Mitsui Bank.
