Brit Insurance, the international general insurance and reinsurance group, today announces the appointment of Tom Taylor as Liability Portfolio Management Underwriter in its London office. Reporting to Jamie McNab, UK Portfolio Manager for Liability, he takes up his position immediately.
Tom joins Brit Insurance from RSA, where he has undertaken a number of liability underwriting roles, since joining as a graduate trainee. Most recently, Tom held the role of Liability Underwriting Manager in Commercial Underwriting, in which he was responsible for a team of underwriters dealing with complex case referrals and providing support on technical issues. The role also included portfolio management responsibilities for the UK Construction business, in which Tom has extensive experience following previous roles underwriting in this area.
This new role will involve working as Jamie McNab’s deputy, assisting in the management and leadership of Brit Insurance’s team of liability underwriters throughout its UK-wide network of offices and supporting the continuing development of its regional liability portfolio.
