Community

We’re committed to supporting local communities. Our strategy is to select charitable giving and community projects based on three criteria:

• projects should be for a good cause and operate in an area relevant to us
• financial involvement should be able to be leveraged for the benefit of the good cause, such as sponsored charity cricket matches
• projects should, where possible, offer alignment with the Group’s vision.

We do not make donations to political organisations.

Main aims in 2012

• support the community activities of our sponsorship partner: Chance to Shine
• match money raised by staff for their chosen charities
• maintain a reserve to support ongoing charitable giving in future years
