Brit Syndicates Limited

The largest portion of the ongoing business is written by our wholly-aligned Lloyd’s Syndicate 2987, which is managed by Brit Syndicates Limited. Syndicate 2987 has licences, through Lloyd’s, to write insurance business in over 65 territories including the US, and licences to write reinsurance business in these and many other territories.

For 2011, Syndicate 2987 has an initial capacity of £760m (2010: £745m), with the growth primarily due to exchange rate effects. This is being reviewed and monitored throughout the year.
