Stability and financial strength
Brit Insurance benefits from a strong and stable balance sheet and the diverse nature of our risk portfolio, by geography, by class of business and by tail, reduces the impact on the Group’s capital position in years of high catastrophe events. The Group underwrites through two regulated insurance carriers each with high credit ratings. Brit Insurance Limited has ratings of A- (Excellent) from A.M. Best and A (Strong) from Fitch. The Group’s wholly-aligned Lloyd’s syndicate, Syndicate 2987, benefits from the Lloyd’s credit ratings of A (Excellent) from A.M. Best, A+ (Strong) from Fitch and A+ (Strong) from Standard & Poors.
