December 4, 2009

Brit Insurance today announces the promotion of Peter Burrows from Brit UK CEO to the position of Executive Chairman for its UK strategic business unit. He takes up this new role on 1st January 2010.

"I am delighted that Peter has accepted this newly-created position, ahead of his planned retirement at the end of 2010 after 40 years in the insurance industry. This will allow us time to select a successor to our UK business's Chief Executive Officer position while remaining focussed on achieving our goals next year."
