Appointment of Regional Development Underwriter

Brit Insurance Holdings PLC, the UK-based international general insurer and reinsurer, today announces the appointment of Simon England as Regional Development Underwriter for the North East Region. He takes up his new position on 18th December.

Simon England joins Brit Insurance after seven years at Chubb, where he was most recently Manager of the Financial Lines Division, acting as the main contact between over 50 brokers and Chubb’s underwriters, as well as developing its client base and servicing existing clients. Prior to joining Chubb, Simon was a Regional Development Underwriter with Chartwell Underwriting, having previously been a Team Supervisor at AGF Insurance and a Commercial Underwriter at General Accident Insurance.

In his new role at Brit Insurance, Simon will continue to focus on his core expertise in Financial Lines Underwriting while assisting Regional Manager, David Kelly in implementing development plans for the North East region as a whole.
