Janet Henderson appointed Head of North American Professional Liability

Brit Insurance Holdings PLC today announces the appointment of Janet Henderson as Head of its North American Professional Liability Underwriting team. Janet, who joined Brit Insurance in March 2003, replaces Richard Hardingham, who is retiring.

Janet, who has an actuarial background, began underwriting professional liability in Lloyd’s in 1989. She takes on the leadership of the five strong Brit Insurance team at a time of strategic backing from the Brit Insurance management. Brit Insurance plans to grow the book significantly over the next few years and will be looking to increase their line size in this area from 2007. The team lead some of the most prestigious risks in the market and plan to enhance their strong market position further going forward.
