Underwriter Appointment

Brit Insurance Holdings PLC ("Brit"), today announces the appointment of Karen Vizard as International Medical Expenses Underwriter within the London Market Underwriting Centre. She takes up her apppointment on 12th December 2005.

Karen has over 17 years' experience in the insurance industry and joins Brit after 15 years at Cassidy Davis, where she was most recently Senior Class Underwriter on the Medical Expenses team with Jubilee Syndicate. Karen also played a significant role in Cassidy Davis' management team. Prior to this, she spent two years at Sturge.
