Appointment of new Liability Underwriter

Brit Insurance Holdings has recently appointed Richard Mander to write Marine and Energy Liability business for both Brit Insurance Limited and Syndicate 2987.

He will be joining the Marine team, lead by Anthony Forsyth, which forms part of Brit's London Market Centre. Richard's appointment is a key move in the reorganisation of Brit’s Marine team prior to Peter Chrismas's retirement.

Richard was previously with Navigators Underwriting Agency where he was Assistant Liability and Energy Underwriter from 1997 until joining Brit.

Mike Sibthorpe, London Market Underwriting Director, said: "I am delighted that Richard is joining the marine division. His appointment completes the restructuring of the Marine team in preparation for the retirement of Peter Chrismas, and demonstrates our commitment to grow the liability portfolio."
