Brit Insurance Holdings PLC (Brit), the UK general insurance group, announces that further to its statement dated 10th September 2003, confirming that Andrew Holland would be leaving the company, Mr Holland has resigned with effect 31st Oct 2003 from his position as a director of Brit.

Neil Eckert, Chief Executive of Brit Insurance Holdings PLC, thanked Andrew Holland for his long service to the group and said: 'Andrew is a good friend who has served the group for many years and we wish him every possible success for the future.'
