Brit Insurance to become sponsor of the England cricket team from January 2010The England cricket team are to have a new sponsor - Brit Insurance. Under the terms of a four-year deal announced with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on 27 July 2009, the Brit Insurance brand will appear on England team shirts and kit with effect from January 2010, when the England men’s side tour Bangladesh, until April 2014. We have been building our involvement in cricket over the past six years – from our inaugural sponsorship of Surrey County Cricket Club and the Brit Insurance Oval in 2004 to our involvement as Insurance Partner of the Test Match Grounds, broadcast sponsor of Test match cricket on Sky Sports and a Senior Commercial Partner with the Professional Cricketers’ Association. We have been active for some time at the grass roots and community levels of the game and will continue to work alongside our sponsorship partners in these important areas. |
