Brit Insurance was voted “Best Reinsurance Company Underwriting Casualty” at Reactions’ annual London Market Awards on 30 June 2009. The Casualty team (Simon Bird, Duncan King, Jim Quinn, Melanie Brown, Julian Goldberg and Liam Chan) was commended for its commitment to the underwriting of a wide range of classes and its excellent service. Finalists in the same category included Catlin and Aspen.

The winners, judged by an independent panel from the London market, picked up their awards at the Grange City Hotel in London, in front of a crowd of 300 of the London market's biggest names.
