Purpose of the Job

This role will focus on the development and ongoing maintenance of our websites and web applications.
Your time will be divided between maintaining the website and developing new areas such as html newsletter; and other Communications campaign activities.

Principal Accountabilities

Duties will include:

• Updating existing website using HTML and our CMS system.
• Helping to develop the websites including creative design and management of content.
• Assisting with quality assurance of projects.
• Writing and editing copy to be used on the website.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers.
• Producing weekly internal HTML newsletter.
• Conducting regular checks on our sites to ensure compliance with our guidelines and up-to-date content.
• Optimising our search engine results.
• Assisting with maintaining and developing the intranet.
• Researching new areas and undertaking benchmark research.
• Producing regular competitive analysis.
• Preparing web stats and other MI as required - Analysis and reporting on online activity.
• Supporting ecommerce activity.
• Integrating website with other communications activities.

Other communications tasks
• Assisting the team in managing internal events.
• Assisting the team in producing internal literature.

Decision Making Responsibilities

• Direction is taken from the Communications Manager

Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Academically educated or demonstrated experience in the areas of Marketing, Business, Media or digital studies.

Essential application knowledge:
• CMS systems
• HTML
• Dreamweaver
• Strong skills in Word, Excel, Outlook.

Complementary but non-essential knowledge in:
• Sharepoint
• Photoshop
• Publisher
• Online marketing experience

Insurance experience would be a useful advantage but it is not a pre-requisite for this role.
